Doing research I found that marine carpet specifically for bunks is supposed to be the best for painted boats.
Of three recommended brands I went with Cuda.

Any recommendations for a surface material for trailer bunk boards that support the bottom of a StarCraft boat that is kind to a Rust-Oleum paint job?
.
Has carpet been working out good for you, or is there another product that you have had good success with - that's been easy on a Rust-Oleum...
Thanks, I've done that on several pictures of 18 foot StarCrafts.
I have AutoCad, so I imported and scaled the images.

Yes, 17-18 inches is about it.
I ended up selling this windshield because I couldn't get it to match up to the Alumaweld enclosure I got.
I'm currently building my windshield frame out of wood.
I'm trying to mock up (retrofit) an Alumaweld top I got for $100.
I want to find a balance between a reasonable windshield height and not so much that I get blown around by the wind.
I'm building it to be easily removed because most my fishing I do with no windshield.
It looks I'm going to...
I'm coming back around to this question again.
If was to estimate, I'd guess 18 inches.
I know... I should have measured mine while I still had it.
Could someone measure their 18 foot StarCraft windshield height straight up vertically from the dash?
Good question.
When I measured it with me on the bow it was about 29 inches.
Then I got out and measured it with me on the dock and I got the 35 inches.
