    Do the plastic bumpers go up and down with the water level ....on a float ? Is the water level likely to rise without warning ? Just thinking that limiting movement of the boat makes sense if your not going to get caught out. ......seen it happen in tidal areas 😂😂😂.

    The fact that it runs well just before running out of fuel does suggest rich running which can really only be either a stuck open float valve or a blocked air jet . Sometimes soaking and blasting out carbs wont do it ....neither does ultrasonic cleaning always work , ya gotta get in there wth...

    I like to drench my outboard powerhead and linkages etc in crc marine aerosols , so they are always greasy .
