9.8 wiring help

all my wires were disconnected, brother working on dad's old motor didn't write down what went where(thanks Bro) and he spliced the 2 wires off the trigger so now both wires are the same color...they should be the same left and right off trigger though or perhaps I could peel the shrink wrap off to see if there is any color under it..does anyone have a schematic or picture of what goes where? 1977 Mercury 9.8. thanks

It probably won't help but if you just hook it up if wrong it we kick and you can change the wires,
