Crankcase Reseal Question 1967-60 Hp Evinrude V-4 Model 60733
I Found A Bad Seal In At Bottom Of Crank Shaft On My Motor.
I Have Already Taken Apart, Inspected, Replaced Bearings Need, General Check Up.
I Ready To Put Back Together, I Came Up With A Couple Question.
There Is A Spaghetti Seal The Seals Both Halves Of Block.
Manual Says To Use Adhesive To Glue The Seal Into The Channel ( Groove Of The Block ) Just One Side.
Then Use Flange Gasket Sealant To Machine Surfaces.. No Problem With That.
But,when Old Spaghetti Seal Came Out There Was No Adhesive On It.
So , I Want To Know What To Do Here. Adhesive Or Not ?
Next Question The Crankcase Head , Uses A Double O-ring Seal.
The Manual Dose Not Say To Seal The Crankcase Head.
I Was Wonder If Using A Flange Gasket Seal On Machine Surfaces Where Bottom Of Crankcase HEAD Seats To Top Of The Block
