Loss of power to trim

Good evening,

At the end of the season last year when I winterized my pontoon boat (03 godfrey sweetwater 24 ft with a 4 cyl mercruiser inboard and alpha one leg) the leg went all the way down, but as soon as I did that it lost all power and wouldnt go back up or down. Seeing as how it was put away in the shed I didnt feel like dragging it back out and into the shop to work on it. Today I tried to do a bit of troubleshooting - by-passed the controls to prove the pump works fine, and unplugged the three wires going to the switch on the throttle - all three are dead, no power going up to that switch. It does have a trailer switch on the dash for lifting the leg higher, havnt tested power to it yet but its not working either. Does anyone have any idea on what to check now ? All the fuses that I can see (fuse panel on the dash and the inline right by the pump are fine). Really is aggravating that the boat didnt move an inch and this seemed to happen.

I appreciate any help at all.

Use a voltmeter and measure power to see if power is on both sides of the fuse. It comes from the starter to the fuse, then to the pump relays

Thanks for the welcome. yeah everything is dead at the switch, no power on the red. im unfamiliar with the layout of this system, but alldodge mentioned that there are some relays, maybe one of those is shot ?

I believe alldodge is referring to the 2 large solenoids on the trim pump bracket.
If all merc trim pumps are wired the same, the one red wire coming off the inline fuse at the pump goes into a connector that plugs into the harness that feeds to the trim switches at the helm and stern (if you have one). Check the connector for any corrosion.
The other day, I ran into a case where my fuel gauge wasn't working and all I did was unplug the connector at the sender and plug it back in and then it all worked.
