Hi, I have a 115 turbojet that is not getting fuel to the out of the four cylinders when cranking the engine. I know this because I pulled the plug and put white paper towels in front of the cylinders and cranked the motor. Three of the cylinders left no marks, the fourth one left a nice green wet mark. How do I go about trouble shooting this problem.I did rebuild the carbs but I forgot to check the float heights. Thanks

Excellent. So in the future all OMC outboard questions go in the johnnyrude forum?

Yes...........Take the plugs out of the float bowls and pump the primer bulb and see if fuel comes out of them. Did you have the high speed jets out of the carbs when you cleaned them ?? They're behind the plugs in the float bowls.

hi boobie, I just went out there and pulled the plugs one at a time. Gas did come out of each hole, a trickle. when I pumped the primer bulb it didn't make any come out. But when I rocked the boat more would trickle out. The primer bulb is firm.

With the plugs pulled out and you pump the primer bulb fuel should flow freely out of them. Either you have a pinched line going to the carbs or the N&S in the carbs are screwed up. Pull the fuel lines going to the carbs and pump the primer bulb again and see what you get. You could also have a bad primer bulb.

I replaced the bulb and fuel lines two weeks ago because I couldn't get it to idle, it was sucking air. I am gonna replace the lines after the fuel pump to carb. they look old. What is the n+s in the carbs, rebuilt the carbs myself, so it could be something I did, also I never checked the float height read that to late

N & S = needle and seat in the carb. Did you ever see if you got a good flow of fuel out of the float bowls with the plugs removed ??

I only got a trickle of gas when I removed them. If pumping the primer bulb pushes fuel out through the float bowl drain plugs, then when I remove the screws it should relieve the pressure in the bulb. Mine stays firm.

Re: Not getting fuel to three of the four cylinders

I replaced every fuel line. blew compressed air through all jets again in carb. it turns out the floats were out of adjusted toward the lean side. and I put a screw in the wrong hole when mounting the air box to the carb. it took a long time to get started but it ran great a couple of hiccups at idle though.
