Howdy all, been a while. It's time to clean out most of my boats and motors. I have a 1975 StarCraft 18ft SS with a 90hp 1986 inline 6 on it. the hull leaks and I don't have time to tear down the boat to the bare hull for proper repair, so I'm thinking about selling the motor separately and then taking what I can get for the boat and trailer. I have just rebuilt the carburetors and installed new floats. I just got a new water pump kit for it yesterday and going to install it soon. Runs great. I also have two lowers and three tubs of miscellaneous parts mostly from 115hp inlines but a lot of the parts will work on the 90hp with no problem. I can't seem to get a handle on what the value of this motor might be here in Oklahoma. Anyone have any idea of what the value is ???? thanks for your consideration

thanks for your replies. I was hoping to get 2000 for the motor and all the parts. Don't know now though. Almost makes me wish that I had not spent the time and money on it.
Thanks again-----

It is worth, whatever somebody is willing to give you for it, and that will likely vary from person to person.
If you have the Receipts for any Parts and Services done, it might help the Value. Far too many times I have heard, 'I did this, that, and the other thing, but damn, I just can't find any of the Paperwork...'

which you were closer...
Yeah , my friend ( the one with the AP outboard that the prop fell off ) had a Merc in line 6 ...think it was a 115hp blue band . He give it up because he couldnt find a drive belt for the dizzy , but I loved the few rides I had , that thing was #**kin awesome , just the sound was enough but it went really hard out when he give it the boot full (Kiwi for flooring the loud pedal ....which is Kiwi for accelerator ) . I was truly saddened when I found out he had binned it , and if a good runner crossed my path now Id buy it and find a boat to put it on 😁😁😁

my 18" tinny is rated for a 115. I have a 50 and can hit 27 with just me which is fine but the boy in me still wants a 115. Cant imaging that kind of power back there. The fifty with more than an extra small adult and a kid or two just struggles.

Once you have the 115, hopefully a 2 Stroke, you will be wondering why you waited so long.
My first 2 boats were 15 footers, with the same Hull, one with an Evinrude 140, the second with a Merc 115. The Merc had better Hole Shot, Higher Top Speed, and did so on less Gas

i'm 60, i think there are enough old motors out there to keep my in two strokes until i'm dead then the kids can do what they want with it.
